Happy New Year, Peeplets!!
How were your New Years’ celebrations?? Mine were quite excellent.
Last night, New Years’ Eve, I went to a friends’ place. There weren’t a lot of us there, but there were enough of us that we had an entertaining time. I got there early to help set up (which ended up being just the two of us hanging lights then sitting and chatting whilst I tried to keep the dog away from me ;D) and then the party started.
I had my first ever Cruiser, and my second and my third…. Someone also made us a Vodka slushy that contained 3.66666667 standard drinks (we did the math half way through and after two drinks already) in the one serve, so, needless to say, I drank the entire glass. The faces of my friends when they saw that I was drinking are totally indescribable!! They were completely amazed and awed and everything!
No one has ever seen me drink before.
The only drink that I have ever had before last night is Champagne – Riccadonna to be more specific. I quite enjoyed it ;D
Blueberry is my favourite, but I also liked the Raspberry because of its sugarlessness..
So that was my new years eve…
We watched the fireworks, got slightly intoxicated, reminisced about the past and ate way too much. Best night of my life ;D
However, there is another matter that I would like to express right now, before I leave you in peace to enjoy the remainder of your new years celebrations and that is….
New Years’ Resolutions!!
I have a few this year. I figure the more I have, the more likely it is that I will actually go through with one of them. Also I have a theory that resolutions are merely just things that we want to improve in our lives, and that it doesn’t matter if we break them continuously, all that really matters is that we register that these are the things that we want to change and we make an effort to change this in our lives. So… in breaking a resolution, we just work towards breaking it less and less throughout the year until we no longer break it… and here are my resolutions:
1. Write for at least 10 minutes ever day – this way I can practice my writing and get better and better and better ;D
2. Do some form of physical activity everyday – I’m, like, insanely unfit, so, by doing something each day, I can build on my fitness and partake in some form of team sport at uni next year.
3. Loose weight – this one has been my most problematic throughout my life. I have had it as a resolution every year, but I’ve never had this theory before, so I never really gave it a chance.
I think that’s all of them, but I had a few so I can’t really remember.. if I think of anymore, I’ll let you know ;D
This is me signing off for the first time in 2011… May you all enjoy your new year, may all your wishes and hopes come true and may your resolutions be something that you can really work hard towards!!
